About Scarlett Consulting

Anne Scarlett, LEED AP, President of Scarlett Consulting, offers her clients hands-on attention and A/E/C industry-specific business development expertise. Her diverse insights come from more than 27 years of consulting to — and working in-house for — an array of reputable firms ranging in size, discipline, and focus: Perkins & Will; Holabird & Root; CUH2A; Nagle Hartray. As Scarlett Consulting, her client reach extends to include construction giants such as Gilbane, Walsh Construction, and Faithful & Gould. Prior to founding her practice, Anne served as the Principal and Director of the Marketing Consulting Group for ZweigWhite.

An advocate of relationship-building through effective communication and networking, Anne has provided board-level leadership to organizations such as Corporate Real Estate Women (CREW). She is also Past-President of the Chicago Young Executives’ Club (YEC). Anne is frequently published in a range of industry publications: Modern Steel Construction; RainToday; A/E Marketing Journal (published by PSMJ Resources); CE News; The Zweig Letter and the AE Marketing Letter (published by ZweigWhite); and Structural Engineer. She is a dynamic public speaker, and has addressed national audiences at conferences such as Pathway to Principal; AE Marketing Now; Buildings Conference; and Land Development East. As well, she is often invited to speak at regional functions hosted by professional groups such as the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC); the American Institute of Architects (AIA); and the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). To transfer knowledge to our future leaders, Anne serves as an adjunct faculty member at both Columbia College Chicago and DePaul University. As well, she has been a  guest speaker for Northwestern University’s Masters in Project Management (MPM).

Anne holds an M.S. in Communications from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Interior Design from Indiana University. She is also a LEED Accredited Professional, underscoring her commitment to help her clients emphasize and promote their own sustainable design expertise.

When she is not hard at work helping firms to grow their businesses vis-à-vis marketing/business development, Anne can be found globe-trotting to explore new cultures.
